Our Story
Nestled in the heart of the Tharu village, Babai Outback Adventures is a stones throw away from the entrance of Bardiya National Park, the park that is home to the majestic but ever elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, Greater One Horned Rhinoceros, herds of wild elephants, the critically endangered Gangetic Dolphins and hundreds of different species of birds.
Our team is ready to make your stay comfortable yet memorable. Our moto, “lifetime memories” is not just a sentence but our commitment and goal. Safety being our first priority, we take utmost care and precaution to make the wild life experience exhilarating. Our guides have decades of experiences in the jungle, from walking the length & breadth of the National park to rafting down the tributaries of the Karnali river that is sprawling with wildlife activities. We have the best locations for camping where our guest can enjoy fishing in the rivers that flow elegantly in the wild valleys of the National park, where tigers come for a drink and herds of elephant cross the river.
The rooms of Babai Outback Adventures offer modern comfort mixed with subtle basic designs. Each room is spacious and has an attached bathroom, with hot water. 4 rooms have the luxury of bathtubs. The dining area is one of the key highlights of our lodge, modern building merged with unique design. The dinning is made by wooden beams reused from traditional houses. All the wood was resourced from a single house of the village chieftain. The ambience reflects being in a time when houses were made of natural materials, where you can savor eating fresh cooked hot meals with your favorite drink.
